Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist to support cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures. You'll work alongside physicians in a fast-paced interventional environment, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic cases while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and radiation safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and thrombectomy
- Support structural heart procedures and permanent pacemaker/ICD implantations
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring, IABP/Impella support, and arterial/venous sheath removals or closure devices
- Perform specialized imaging techniques (IVUS, OCT, FFR)
- Recognize and respond appropriately to procedural complications (air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, cardiac tamponade)
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and radiation safety protocols (ALARA principles)
- Conduct quality control checks and document findings
- Contribute to a professional, collaborative team environment
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiology or related field
- BLS and ACLS certification
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) radiography license

- Shift: 4 x 10-hour days, first shift
- Duration: 18 weeks
