Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse for night shift coverage in Cleveland, OH.
Shift & Duration
- Schedule: Night shift, 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Contract: 18 weeks (13 weeks also available)
- Start Date: Late September 2026
Core Responsibilities
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care as needed
- Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license (permanent the facility or compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 18 months recent, permanent Med-Surg Telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certification (active and in hand)
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required; willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in telemetry (required for submission)

- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available)
- ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments completed during orientation
