MRI Technologist – Outpatient

Location: Bronx, NY

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: August 26, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM; Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (37.5 guaranteed hours/week)

About the Role

The facility's outpatient imaging department is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging exams and support a high-volume patient schedule. You'll work independently and collaboratively to deliver quality imaging while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per physician orders, selecting appropriate protocols for diagnostic accuracy
• Screen all patients and staff for MRI safety, identifying contraindications (implants, devices, metallic objects, pregnancy status)
• Prepare, position, and coach patients through exams; operate MRI equipment and coils to optimize image quality
• Administer contrast media as ordered and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety zones and protocols
• Document exams and maintain accurate records in imaging systems
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians on imaging findings
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers as needed

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT-MR) or ARRT (R) with MRI eligibility per facility policy
• State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
• BLS certification
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
• 1+ years of MRI experience preferred
• IV certification/venipuncture skills preferred
