Endoscopy RN – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 14-week travel assignment in Augusta, GA. You'll work in a fast-paced endoscopy suite providing direct patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Schedule
- Shift: Day rotation, 4 x 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) plus 2 x 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) = 36 hours/week
- Weekends: 2–3 per contract
- On-call: 1 weekday call + 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- Pre-approved time off: Maximum 7 days per contract (finalize at time of submission)
Clinical Focus
You'll care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing endoscopic procedures including:
- ERCP (with Spy Glass capability)
- Colonoscopy
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
- Bronchoscopy / EBUS
- ION procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation per protocol
- Prepare patients pre-procedure; provide post-procedure recovery care
- Assist physicians during procedures; handle specimens and equipment
- Monitor vital signs and patient status; alert team to changes
- Perform equipment cleaning and disinfection per infection control standards
- Document care accurately in the facility's charting system
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, techs, and support staff
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact)
- 1+ years endoscopy experience required (first-timers with appropriate background considered)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring
- CGRN preferred
- Patient ratio: 1:2 across 3 rooms
Contract Details
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Compliance: All documentation must be completed within 48 hours of signing
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered). COVID-19 vaccine not required.
