Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: August 30, 2026

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit. You will provide safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care to a group of patients, with responsibility for assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments; make sound independent clinical decisions
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor and document patient responses to interventions
• Provide patient and family education specific to their needs and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff; mentor and precept nursing team members
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and Practice Governance model

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years acute care inpatient RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association)

Schedule Details

Every other weekend required. Occasional float to other units as needed.
