Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: August 30, 2026

About the Role

The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Progressive Care Unit. You will provide direct patient care to a group of patients, performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient responses to clinical interventions. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, family-centered care while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patients according to policy and clinical presentation
• Develop, implement, and modify care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Document patient responses to interventions
• Provide and coordinate patient and family education
• Delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed staff
• Mentor and precept nursing staff
• Participate in quality improvement and process optimization initiatives
• Support a Practice Governance model and maintain regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in a progressive care or similar inpatient setting
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Nursing diploma or Associate's degree
• Ability to float within scope of practice
• Every other weekend requirement

Shift Details

Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with rotating weekend assignments.
