Cath Lab Tech – Interventional Cardiology | Snellville, GA
14-Week Contract | Day Shift | 4x10 Hours (07:00–17:30)
This assignment places you in an active cardiac catheterization lab managing a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. The lab performs high-acuity interventional procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), orbital atherectomy, IABP placement/removal, Impella support, and device implants. No EP studies or ablations are performed in this unit.
Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS
- RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV
Clinical Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, sinus node rhythm identification, and obtaining vitals
- Experience with IABP, Impella, and orbital atherectomy systems required
- Pacemaker experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required
Schedule & Coverage:
- 4x10-hour day shifts; every other weekend required
- 10 call days per month
- Holiday coverage expected based on contract length (up to 2 of 6 designated major holidays)
- Float within department, facility, and potentially a sister campus location
Additional Details:
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission — no schedule changes post-offer or during orientation week
- Georgia or Compact RN/tech licensure required at time of submission
- Full compliance required prior to start; onboarding documents due the Tuesday before your start date
A clinical screening review is conducted prior to manager submission. Local candidates are accepted.
