Labor & Delivery Nurse – Nights
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift contract beginning August 17, 2026. You'll provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, managing maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery in a dynamic obstetric environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state of practice or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience
- Proficiency with fetal monitoring, high-risk obstetric conditions, and vaginal/cesarean deliveries
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal status; assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions
- Administer medications including labor induction/augmentation agents and epidural support
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide circulating support for cesarean sections
- Manage high-risk OB conditions (preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress) with emergency interventions
- Provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation support
- Educate patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
- Document labor progress and interventions accurately
Shift Details
- Schedule: Night shifts (36 guaranteed hours/week)
- Duration: 13 weeks
