Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Location: Mayfield Heights, OH

Shift & Duration:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Flexible scheduling: Friday/Saturday/Sunday OR Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• 13-week contract

About the Role:

Join the medical-surgical telemetry unit caring for adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions. You'll monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, manage pre- and post-operative patients, administer medications including cardiac drips, and coordinate care for patients with diabetes, cardiac, and respiratory diagnoses. Patient load is typically 4–6 per shift.

Your responsibilities include:

• Continuous cardiac monitoring and rapid response to rhythm changes
• Medication administration and treatment per physician orders
• Pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Discharge planning and patient/family education
• Charting and accurate documentation
• Collaboration with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Infection control and fall prevention

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)
• Minimum 18 months of permanent medical-surgical telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (active and current)
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• One professional reference (manager, supervisor, or director) from work in the past 12 months
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Vaccinations: COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available).
