About the Role
Join the emergency department as a registered nurse in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You'll and assess incoming patients, provide rapid emergency care across a range of conditions, and respond to trauma activations and codes. Typical procedures include cardioversion, TNK administration, and moderate sedation.
Key Responsibilities
- patients and prioritize care based on acuity
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions
- Respond to trauma activations and patient deterioration
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans
- Monitor patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
- Maintain patient flow in a high-volume setting
- Educate patients and families on discharge and follow-up care
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- TNCC and ENPC required
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- Experience in protocols and high-acuity environments
