Telemetry RN — Aurora, CO
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, CO. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a dedicated telemetry unit serving a large cardiac patient population, with opportunities to float to other medical/telemetry and rehabilitation units.
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and EKG reading
- Experience managing cardiac medications and monitoring rhythms
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute medical conditions
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care as needed
- Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per orders
- Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation

- Typical patient ratio: 1:5

- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Preferred Skills
Strong telemetry experience; chemotherapy certification (opens access to oncology unit scheduling).
