Telemetry RN — Aurora, CO

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, CO. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a dedicated telemetry unit serving a large cardiac patient population, with opportunities to float to other medical/telemetry and rehabilitation units.

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO or compact license)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care telemetry experience
  • Demonstrated competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and EKG reading
  • Experience managing cardiac medications and monitoring rhythms
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute medical conditions
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care as needed
  • Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per orders
  • Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
  • Respond to rapid response and code interventions
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation

  • Typical patient ratio: 1:5

  • Flexible floating across inpatient medical/telemetry and rehabilitation units

  • 36 guaranteed hours per week

Preferred Skills

Strong telemetry experience; chemotherapy certification (opens access to oncology unit scheduling).
