Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Schedule: 12 shifts over 3 weeks (rotating)

Contract Duration: 16 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly

Position Overview

The facility's NICU is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized respiratory care to critically ill newborns and infants. You'll work as part of a collaborative team managing complex pulmonary conditions and supporting vulnerable patients through their stay.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, including high-frequency modes
• Perform endotracheal intubations and extubations
• Administer nebulized medications and respiratory treatments
• Monitor ventilator parameters and adjust therapy as needed
• Assess patient response to treatment and communicate with the care team
• Maintain equipment and ensure readiness for emergency interventions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent NICU or specialty respiratory care experience
• Georgia RRT license
• NBRC RRT certification
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Ability to work nights and weekend rotations

Holiday Schedule

You must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
