NICU Registered Nurse – 12-Hour Shifts
About the Role
The facility's NICU provides specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants requiring complex medical and surgical care. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to both full-term and premature infants, working as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to excellent clinical outcomes and family-centered care.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every-other-weekend rotation
- Every-other-holiday rotation
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current RN license in Massachusetts
- 2+ years NICU experience (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Nursing Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients
- Strong assessment, clinical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with computerized charting systems
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
Responsibilities
You will provide emergency and critical care nursing, ensuring safe and timely interventions. Your scope includes assessment of complex neonatal patients, medication administration, monitoring of life support equipment, family education, and collaboration with physicians and specialists. You must demonstrate excellent clinical judgment and the ability to manage multiple critically ill patients.
