Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
Join the Antepartum High Risk Pregnancy Unit as a Labor & Delivery nurse. You'll provide direct care to laboring patients and those with high-risk obstetric conditions, managing both the emotional and clinical complexity of childbirth on the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal status continuously; assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions
- Manage high-risk OB conditions including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and fetal distress
- Administer labor induction/augmentation agents and provide epidural support per physician orders
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide circulating support for cesarean sections
- Perform immediate newborn care and resuscitation as needed
- Educate patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
- Document labor progress and interventions accurately in the EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- 2+ years of L&D experience with high-risk obstetric patients
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Competency in immediate newborn care
Preferred
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- Circulating experience
- BSN
Additional Details
- Patient ratio: 1:3–4
- Float responsibilities include L&D, Mother/Baby, and NICU
- Scrubs provided
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Weekends and on-call not required (available upon approval)
