Labor & Delivery RN – Antepartum/High-Risk OB | Asheville, NC

13-Week Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

This travel RN opportunity is on a high-risk antepartum unit caring for complex maternal-fetal patients. The unit manages high-risk pregnancies including preeclampsia, fetal distress, and other conditions requiring close maternal and fetal surveillance throughout the antepartum period and through delivery.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekends not required; available upon approval
• No mandatory call

Clinical Scope

• Continuous electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, and cerclage procedures
• Immediate newborn care and neonatal resuscitation support
• Management of high-risk OB conditions (hemorrhage, preeclampsia, fetal distress)
• Labor induction/augmentation and epidural support
• Circulating support for cesarean sections preferred

Float Areas: L&D, Mother-Baby, and NICU

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or compact)
• Minimum 2 years L&D experience with high-risk OB background
• Immediate newborn care competency
• BLS/ACLS and NRP required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• BSN preferred; ADN considered

Preferred

• Circulating experience in OR/cesarean setting
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification

Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the facility

Strong candidates will be outgoing, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity obstetric environment alongside OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams.
