Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
About the Role
The facility's Respiratory Services department is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the night shift. You'll deliver critical respiratory care across adult intensive care units, progressive care floors, neonatal, and pediatric service lines in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
Clinical Scope
You'll manage mechanical ventilation for post-operative, post-cardiac-surgery, and critically ill patients. Responsibilities include:
- Adult and pediatric/neonatal ventilator management
- Non-invasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Patient assessment and troubleshooting
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in critical care settings
Requirements
- North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NRP preferred
Unit Details
- Rotating weekends: at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Float assignments to all critical care units and floors as needed
- Scrubs: Medium gray/pewter
- Night shift staffing: 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines; 3–4 for NICU/Peds
Note: Only RRTs will be considered. CRTs will not be reviewed.
