Contract Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
About the Role
The facility's Respiratory Services department is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift assignment. You'll deliver respiratory care across adult critical care units and pediatric/neonatal services, managing both mechanical ventilation and non-invasive respiratory support for patients ranging from neonates to adults in high-acuity settings.
Clinical Scope
You'll work with a range of ventilator equipment and high-flow oxygen delivery systems, supporting patients in ICUs, post-operative recovery, and specialty care floors. The department manages critically ill patients including post-cardiac-surgery, sepsis, and respiratory failure cases, as well as neonatal and pediatric patients requiring advanced respiratory support.
Requirements
- North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT certification (required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 5 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Ability to float to all critical care units and floors as needed
Schedule & Expectations
Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. You'll work a varying weekend schedule with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week rotation.
Dress Code
Medium gray/pewter scrubs
