Nurse Manager – GI Services

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee GI Services operations on a day shift basis. Reporting to the Director of Surgery Services, you will develop and maintain a high-quality care environment, manage staff performance, and ensure regulatory compliance across a 24-hour service line.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and monitor quality of procedures in the GI unit
• Participate in departmental budget development, financial management, and productivity planning
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes
• Support staff development, employee satisfaction, and progressive discipline as appropriate
• Ensure age-appropriate, patient-centered care delivery
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, physicians, and clinical teams
• Implement organizational policies and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform clinical nursing assessments and direct patient care as needed

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Minimum 5 years cumulative GI nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in relevant clinical area
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS (within 12 months of hire)
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of financial management, quality improvement, and HR processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
• 2+ years critical care experience
• Certified Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (CGRN)
• Active membership in a professional nursing organization

Shift Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Full-time, year-round position
