Registered Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Location: Asheville, NC

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

About the Role

The facility's Respiratory Services department is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shift coverage. You'll provide direct patient care across multiple service lines, including adult critical care units, pediatrics, and neonatal intensive care.

Clinical Environment

You'll work in a busy respiratory department managing patients across diverse acuity levels. Daily responsibilities include mechanical ventilation management, non-invasive ventilation support, high-flow oxygen therapy, and transport services. The unit serves a full spectrum of critical care patients, surgical cases, and specialty populations.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Respiratory License
• RRT certification (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• RRTs only — CRTs will not be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP certification

Unit Details

• Float assignments to all critical care units and floors as needed
• At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Scrubs: Medium gray/pewter
• Collegial team environment with 12–16 RRTs on night shift for adult services

This is a direct patient care role with the opportunity to expand your clinical skills across multiple patient populations in a dynamic critical care setting.
