Travel RN – Labor & Delivery | Wichita, KS | Night Shift
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Start Date: August 25, 2026
This Labor & Delivery unit cares for a diverse OB population, including high-risk pregnancies (preeclampsia, PPROM, placenta previa, preterm labor), post-operative gynecological and urogynecological cases, ectopic pregnancies, GYN oncology post-op, and postpartum complications. The unit also supports postpartum NICU mothers and women's health med-surg patients.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Continuous fetal heart rate monitoring, interpretation, and escalation
- Labor induction/augmentation medication administration and epidural support
- Assisting with vaginal deliveries and circulating for cesarean sections
- Emergency management of hemorrhage, fetal distress, and high-risk OB conditions
- Immediate newborn care and resuscitation support
- Collaboration with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care postpartum or L&D experience (required)
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS and NRP required
- ACLS required; AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- BSN preferred; ADN considered
- OB, med-surg, or GYN experience a plus
