Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Waco, TX

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday with one weekend per month; no on-call

Start Date: August 26, 2026

About the Role

Join the inpatient rehabilitation unit to evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, and cognitive deficits. You'll design and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and families on adaptive strategies for daily living.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments to identify abilities, limitations, and treatment priorities
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient response
• Provide therapeutic interventions addressing physical, cognitive, and developmental needs
• Train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and techniques
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes per facility standards
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• NBCOT certification
• Current state OT license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of OT clinical experience
• Experience with EMR and documentation systems

Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Standard credentialing requirements apply.
