Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM

On-Call: Yes, including weekends and holidays

About the Role

The facility's interventional radiology department performs advanced minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. You'll work alongside interventional radiologists supporting complex vascular cases including pulmonary thrombectomies, aortic aneurysm repair (AAA, TEVAR, FEVAR), embolizations, biopsies, drain placements, and stent procedures.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with and circulate all IR procedures, including specialty device use (laser, Penumbra, Inari, Shockwave)
  • Operate fluoroscopy and angiography equipment; troubleshoot imaging systems in collaboration with biomedical engineers
  • Prepare and manage sterile fields, instruments, and supplies
  • Manage vascular access sites: sheath removal, hematoma assessment, and site monitoring
  • Administer contrast and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status; alert team to changes
  • Ensure radiation safety and ALARA principles for all staff and patients
  • Document procedures, supplies, and patient data accurately
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and the care team during high-risk procedures
  • Support departmental needs through cross-training

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program
  • ARRT-R with Vascular-Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CI) certification required; RCIS also acceptable
  • State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year IR or interventional vascular experience
  • Ability to respond to emergency/on-call cases
