Emergency Department RN – 13-Week Contract

Shift & Schedule

Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 days per week

48 guaranteed hours per week

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking experienced RNs to join a fast-paced, high-volume unit. You'll and care for patients across the full spectrum of emergent and urgent conditions, from minor injuries to critical trauma and medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols and physician orders
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and acute deterioration with appropriate emergency interventions
• Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Ensure patient flow and throughput in a high-volume environment
• Follow infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• 1+ years of emergency department experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• TNCC and/or CEN preferred
