Labor & Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Location: Greeley, CO

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours scheduled; 24 hours guaranteed)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 14, 2026

About the Role

Join the facility's Labor & Delivery team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, manage fetal monitoring, support vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and deliver immediate newborn resuscitation when needed. This role requires versatility—you may be assigned to , provide couplet care (mom and baby postpartum), circulate OR cases, or assist with newborn admits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status; assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions
  • Manage high-risk OB conditions including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and fetal distress
  • Administer labor induction/augmentation medications and provide epidural support per physician orders
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide circulating support for cesarean sections
  • Perform immediate newborn care and resuscitation as needed
  • Educate patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum care
  • Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Colorado
  • Minimum 24 months of L&D experience (with recent experience in the last 12 months)
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
  • Current certifications verified in the last 30 days

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Subject to weekend, holiday, float, and on-call requirements per department guidelines
  • Regional float possible to other facilities as needed
  • Return-to-Origin (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days; no RTO during the first week of assignment

Note: Arizona residents are not eligible for assignments in Arizona facilities.
