GI Lab Nurse – 13-Week Travel Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: 4 × 10-hour days per week (40 hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: August 3, 2026

About the Role

The facility's gastroenterology lab is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. You'll work in a fast-paced environment performing colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, capsule endoscopy, and related procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and educate patients pre-procedure; verify sedation consent and baseline assessments
• Administer and monitor conscious/moderate sedation per protocol; monitor vital signs and patient response throughout procedures
• Assist physicians with procedure support, specimen handling, and equipment management
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain GI equipment per infection control standards
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient response accurately
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, technicians, and the care team

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of GI lab experience
• Proficiency with conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring
• CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse) preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Strong endoscopy background and a current Georgia or compact license are essential.
