Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for a 13-week contract on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a full-time position working three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week), with a start date of September 21, 2026. Shifts begin every Monday.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license required)
• Minimum 18 months of med-surg specialty experience within the past 3 years
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Within 50-mile radius (no local travelers)

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide comprehensive care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses and acuity levels. Your duties include:

• Assess, monitor, and respond to acute changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage treatments per provider orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory)
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care
• Maintain accurate documentation and infection control protocols
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift

Navy blue scrubs required. Guaranteed hours throughout the contract period.
