Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This night shift opportunity places you on a busy Medical/Surgical/Oncology unit in Denver, Colorado. The unit manages a diverse adult patient population across a range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including post-operative care, oncology, chronic disease management, and acute conditions such as cardiac and respiratory illness. Common procedures include cholecystectomy and appendectomy recovery, wound care, and pain management.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Start date: August 24, 2026
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Clinical Details

• Mixed medical and surgical patient population with varying acuity
• Remote telemetry monitoring in use on the unit
• Night shift nurses work with a small team; independence and sound clinical judgment are essential
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, case managers, and discharge planning teams

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care Med/Surg hospital experience (required)
• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Mom/Baby experience with NRP a plus
• Strong assessment skills and ability to manage a varied patient caseload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
