About the Role
The facility's interventional radiology suite is seeking an experienced RN to provide nursing care for patients undergoing a range of IR procedures, including angiograms, embolizations, biopsies, drain placements, and stent placements.
You will prepare and educate patients pre-procedure, administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation, manage vascular access sites, and monitor hemodynamic status throughout procedures. You'll respond to emergent complications and provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions. Collaboration with interventional radiologists, technologists, and the care team is essential.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience
- Experience with moderate sedation administration and vascular access management
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- CRN (Certified Radiology Nurse) preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Important Notes
Pre-assignment testing: You must pass dysrhythmia and medication competency exams (85% minimum) via Zoom within 48 hours of confirmation. One attempt only—no remediation. Study guides will be provided.
Some weekend coverage is required for stress testing; no on-call duties.
Biweekly orientation. Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility and cannot have worked there within the past six months.
Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly (excluding on-call time).
