Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation

Lewiston, ME | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 13-Week Contract

This RN opportunity supports a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting with multiple distinct units serving geriatric and post-acute populations. Candidates should be comfortable floating between units as needed.

Units Overview:

• Alzheimer's/Dementia Unit: Specialized long-term care focused on residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. RNs utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and are skilled in identifying and interpreting behavioral expressions as meaningful communication.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: Short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other acute conditions. Nursing duties include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• Long-Term Care Unit: Provides ongoing residential care in a home-like environment for residents requiring extended placement.

Requirements:

• Active Maine RN license or compact license (no licensure encumbrances)
• ASN minimum; 1–3 years of RN experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and comfort with interdisciplinary teamwork
• Flexibility to float across units and provide coverage across all shifts
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Notes:

• Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Previous employees of this facility are not eligible
