MRI Technologist – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to join its imaging department on a rotating day and evening schedule. This is a 13-week contract position with guaranteed hours.

Schedule & Hours

• Shift: 8-hour rotating days and evenings
• Mondays: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday–Thursday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• No float required

Requirements

• ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT-MR) or ARRT (R) with MRI eligibility
• BLS-AHA certification
• Minimum 2 years of independent MRI experience in an acute care setting
• State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
• IV certification/venipuncture skills preferred
• Orientation: 3–4 days typical, plus weekly orientation schedule
• Any color scrubs acceptable

Clinical Scope

You'll perform approximately 30–35 MRI cases daily, screening patients and staff for safety contraindications, positioning patients accurately, administering contrast media, optimizing image quality, and maintaining strict adherence to MRI safety protocols. You'll collaborate with radiologists and refer ring physicians and document exams in RIS/PACS systems.

Candidates must have been separated from the facility for 6+ months and be in good standing to be considered.
