Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting. This is a full-time contract role with a temp-to-perm pathway, ideal for candidates interested in establishing a long-term position.

Schedule & Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: July 13, 2026
• Location: Jacksonville, TX

Clinical Scope

You'll work with outpatient populations including orthopedic cases, balance disorders, deconditioning, and chronic pain management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with patient evaluations and data gathering
• Implementing prescribed treatment plans under PT supervision
• Recognizing patient progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Communicating with the physical therapist regarding patient outcomes
• Identifying and recommending appropriate equipment and adaptive devices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Doctorate preferred
• Current PT or PTA license in Texas (or compact state)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
