Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Aiken, SC

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (three 12-hour nights per week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: August 10, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Med-Surg Telemetry Nurse to join the inpatient team on the night shift. You'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, including those with cardiac, respiratory, and chronic disease diagnoses. This role involves assessment, monitoring, medication administration, pre- and post-operative care, and coordination with the interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative patients, including wound care and pain management
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and nursing staff on discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in South Carolina (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification with Advanced Physical Skills Training required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience
• Minimum 6 months of telemetry experience
• Minimum 6 months of travel nursing experience
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
