Critical Care Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse for a 13-week contract in an intensive care overflow area within the emergency department. You'll provide direct care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring, advanced life support, and rapid intervention.
Schedule & Location
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Location: Atlanta, GA
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact license as applicable)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- 1+ years of ICU or critical care experience
- Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable drips, and advanced life support equipment
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- CCRN certification preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in critical patient condition
- Administer medications, including vasoactive and sedation drips
- Manage advanced life support equipment and invasive monitoring devices
- Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary team
- Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and infection control protocols
- Provide patient and family education
This is a fast-paced environment suited for experienced critical care nurses who thrive in high-acuity settings and are comfortable with both ICU and emergency department patient populations.
