Critical Care RN – Night Shift

Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Critical Care RN to provide direct nursing care to high-acuity patients in a busy overflow unit that manages both ICU and emergency department overflow patients. You'll work in a fast-paced environment caring for critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
• Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on care and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of ICU/critical care experience
• Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
• CCRN certification preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• Travel experience preferred
