RN – Critical Care – Night Shift
Location: Atlanta, GA
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026
About the Role
The facility operates an overflow critical care unit within the emergency department managing high-acuity ICU patients. You'll provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients; escalate changes in condition promptly
- Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, arterial and central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
- Administer titratable vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
- Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary care team on patient plans
- Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Provide patient and family education on condition and treatment
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS required
- Minimum 1+ year of ICU or critical care experience
- Proficiency with critical care equipment (ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable drips)
- Experience in both ICU and emergency department preferred
- CCRN certification preferred
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Travel experience preferred. This is a high-volume setting — come ready for a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
