Emergency Department Nurse — Travel Position

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract to join a high-volume, fast-paced team. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 3 × 12-hour schedule, managing emergent and urgent patients across a broad spectrum of acuity levels, including trauma cases.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact)
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience (travel preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Trauma experience needed
• TNCC and/or CEN preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Key Responsibilities

• and rapidly assess incoming patients to determine acuity
• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care across a range of conditions
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team on care plans
• Manage patient flow in a high-volume environment
• Educate patients and families on discharge and follow-up instructions
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and infection control standards
