Emergency Room (ER) Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room nurse for a busy, high-acuity ER. You'll work the night shift in a fast-paced environment managing a diverse patient population with emergent and urgent conditions, including trauma cases.
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: July 27, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- Minimum 1+ years of ER experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Experience with protocols and high-acuity, fast-paced environments
- Trauma experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
- BSN (ADN accepted per facility policy)
Key Responsibilities
- and assess incoming patients; prioritize care based on acuity
- Provide rapid nursing care across a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions
- Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
- Monitor patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed
This is a contract position ideal for travel nurses with strong emergency nursing experience.
