Emergency Department Nurse – Travel Position

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: July 27, 2026

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring strong assessment skills and the ability to manage multiple acuity levels simultaneously. You'll incoming patients, respond to trauma activations and codes, administer medications and treatments, and provide rapid care across emergent and urgent conditions. This role demands experience in high-acuity environments and comfort with trauma protocols.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia or compact license
• Minimum 1+ years of ER experience (travel experience preferred)
• Trauma experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Key Responsibilities

• and rapidly assess patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and patient deterioration
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions
• Monitor and manage patient flow in a high-volume setting
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care
• Maintain infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols
• Document assessments and interventions accurately
