Emergency Department RN — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a busy, high-acuity night shift. You'll work in a fast-paced environment managing trauma activations, codes, and a diverse patient population across the full spectrum of emergency and urgent conditions.
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: 3 × 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours/week
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Start Date: July 27, 2026
- Location: Atlanta, GA
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience; travel experience preferred
- Trauma experience needed
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- TNCC and CEN certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities
- and rapidly assess incoming patients to prioritize care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for emergent, urgent, and trauma patients
- Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per protocols
- Manage patient flow in a high-volume environment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate EMR documentation and maintain infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families on discharge and follow-up care
