Emergency Department Nurse – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel contract. This is a fast-paced, high-volume setting where you'll manage diverse patient populations, from urgent care to trauma activations and critical emergencies.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- Start Date: August 3, 2026
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or valid compact license
- Minimum 1+ years of emergency department experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- Comfort with protocols and high-acuity environments
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessment and
- Manage emergent and urgent cases, including trauma activations and codes
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocol
- Monitor patient flow and maintain throughput in a high-volume setting
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols
