Emergency Department Nurse – Travel Position
Location: Atlanta, GA
Shift & Schedule:
- 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours/week
- 13-week contract
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1+ years of emergency department experience
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and CEN preferred
Clinical Role:
You'll work in a fast-paced emergency department managing high-acuity, emergent, and urgent patients. Your responsibilities include:
- and rapid assessment of incoming patients to prioritize care
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols
- Respond to trauma activations, codes, and patient deterioration with emergency interventions
- Manage patients across a wide range of acute conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on treatment plans
- Monitor patient flow and throughput in a high-volume environment
- Document assessments and interventions accurately
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols
