Rehabilitation Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Decatur, GA

Schedule: NOC, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility is seeking a compassionate rehabilitation nurse to join its inpatient rehab team. You'll provide nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, trauma, orthopedic surgery, and other conditions requiring intensive functional restoration.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing patients' functional status and progress toward rehabilitation goals
• Administering medications and treatments per physician orders
• Supporting patients with mobility, ADLs, and adaptive equipment use
• Collaborating with physiatrists, physical/occupational/speech therapy, and the interdisciplinary team on individualized care plans
• Educating patients and families on condition, treatment, home care, and safety
• Monitoring for complications related to immobility, injury, or chronic conditions
• Supporting emotional adjustment and coping throughout recovery
• Ensuring fall prevention and safety protocols
• Accurate EMR documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license in state (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS certification required
• 1+ years of rehabilitation nursing experience
• Experience with functional restoration and interdisciplinary rehab care
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) preferred
