Emergency Department RN — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You'll work three 12-hour rotating shifts per week and assume clinical leadership responsibilities, including delegation and mentoring of team members.

Key Responsibilities

• and assess incoming patients; prioritize care based on acuity
• Provide rapid nursing care across a range of emergent and urgent conditions
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient flow in a high-volume setting
• Uphold infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required before start
• 1+ years of emergency department experience
• Experience with protocols and high-acuity environments
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• TNCC and CEN certifications preferred
