Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Location: Cleveland, OH
Shift: Night, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
Contract Duration: 18 weeks (13 weeks also available)
Start Date: September 25, 2026
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care on a med/surg telemetry unit. You'll manage patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, interpret rhythms, administer cardiac medications, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify arrhythmias; escalate changes promptly
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Assess and respond to patient condition changes with clinical judgment
- Participate in rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Document assessments and interventions accurately
- Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
Required Qualifications
- 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (required)
- Active RN license: the facility or compact state license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certification (active and current)
- NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
- One recent manager or supervisor reference from the specialty
- ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment completion during orientation (passing score required)

- One professional reference required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in telemetry; no peer references)
- Drug screening and background clearance required
- Orientation includes competency modules
