Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric Critical Care

Location: Cleveland, OH

Shift: Night 3×12 or 4×12 (19:00–07:30)

Contract: 8 or 12 weeks

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care for pediatric patients across multiple critical care units, including NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings. You'll manage high-acuity neonatal and pediatric patients requiring advanced ventilatory support, airway management, and specialized respiratory interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct respiratory care to critically ill neonates, infants, and children
• Manage mechanical ventilation, extubations, and airway procedures
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and support pediatric code responses
• Float between assigned units and may rotate to affiliate facility NICUs as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in fast-paced critical care environments

Requirements

• Current, active Ohio RRT license (required before start)
• NBRC and BLS certifications (current, in hand)
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and PALS (current, active)
• Minimum 2 years pediatric/NICU/PICU critical care experience
• Demonstrated experience in Level 4 high-acuity pediatric care
• Two professional references from managers, clinical supervisors, or directors (from assignments in the past 12 months)
• Nicotine-free status; negative 10-panel drug screen required
• Ability to complete background clearance and fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing

Additional Notes

All scheduling requests and time-off requests must be communicated during the interview process. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered). Locals welcome. Extensions available up to 18 months.
