Cath Lab Technologist – 12-Hour Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 16-week travel assignment. You'll work Friday–Sunday days, every other week, with first-float responsibilities. This is an ideal role for travelers—including first-timers—willing to work flexible scheduling.
Schedule & Call
- 12-hour day shifts: Friday–Sunday (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
- Every other week rotation
- First to float
- Call: 1x per week for inpatient/emergent cases
- Weekend call: 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Clinical Environment
The facility operates five cath lab suites managing 10–22 cases per day. You'll handle diagnostic angiograms, PCI/stent placements, coronary interventions, peripheral and vascular cases, electrophysiology procedures, and general IR/neuro interventions. The facility is a STEMI-receiving center with high procedural volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub or monitor hemodynamics depending on case type (typically 2 techs per case; sometimes 3–4)
- Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Prepare sterile fields and manage instruments/supplies
- Administer contrast media and medications
- Monitor vital signs and alert the team to changes
- Support conscious and moderate sedation cases
- Manage airway support, cardiac drips (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors), and balloon pumps
- Ensure radiation safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification with Fluoroscopy
- BLS certification
- 1+ years current cath lab experience
- State license (RT)
- Comfort with procedural processes, conscious sedation, and hemodynamic management
- RCIS and CCT certifications are not accepted for this role

The agency provides radiation badge. Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (or pay in full at discretion).
