Location: Lawrence, MA

Shift: Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: July 22, 2026

The facility is seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver direct care and therapeutic services in a skilled nursing setting. You'll work with residents to maximize functional abilities and independence in daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care with functional goals
• Perform therapeutic procedures under physician order, following all precautions and contraindications
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify care plans as needed
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide resident and caregiver education and training
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in the electronic medical record
• Recommend and ensure proper use of assistive devices
• Supervise and mentor assistant-level staff as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Master's or Doctorate preferred)
• Active PT license in Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Prior skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience required
• Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; above 50 requires two-person lift

Physical Demands:

Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Some stress related to high responsibility for quality resident care.

Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
