Emergency Department RN – Travel Assignment

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a newly built, fully equipped unit. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment with the latest technology and modern infrastructure.

Clinical Scope

You'll provide care across a range of emergency conditions, from common chief complaints to trauma patients. Your responsibilities include:

• IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube placement
• Point-of-care lab specimen collection and processing
• Setup and adjustment of respiratory equipment (BiPAP, ventilators)
• Assisting providers with ED procedures
• Patient monitoring on cardiac/vital sign monitors
• AIDET patient experience standards and SBAR handoff communication

Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity.

Requirements

• License & Certifications: Active RN license; TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years ED nursing experience
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; no special scheduling or RTO needed
• Scrubs: Royal blue

Team Environment

PCTs are scheduled mid-shift to support care delivery. You'll work alongside experienced staff in a newly established team environment with phone support available from the main hospital for equipment questions.
